Jay, you seem more animated, happier, more lively when you're on a bike. Am I wrong?

Tribute to the Indian Chieftain. And my favorite show, when Jay showcases motorcycles. Love the Harley Knucklehead episode. Traded in my Harley for the Indian - nice but I miss the Harley.

Thanks for talking me into wearing my helmet more often Mr. Leno!
Speaking of one of the greatest motorcycles of all time, I bet you would really like the 2002-2003 Honda VFR800 Interceptor! With a V4 developed using race technology, namely VTEC it sounds like an american racing V8 with the right can on it.
VTEC kicks in at 6800rpm and it throws you back instantly.. it’s UTTERLY ADDICTING and Jay if you have never ridden one I suggest you do it! it’s the perfect balance of sport and leisure that would suit you very well. It also is underrated people don’t realize that it was the reigning champion of the motorcycle industry for many years in the late 90’s and early 2000’s winning motorcycle of the year in several big motorcycle magazines. Had a lawyer come up to me on mine yesterday and I let him take it out, he said he’d buy it off me in a year for exactly what I paid LAST year if I want to sell it.

I've always wondered, does a seat spring work as well as an actual real suspension, or is one actually more effective?

motorcycles are way overpriced, I grew up riding motocross types, a Honda, two Kawasaki and a Suzuki etc. Those weren't too expensive but overall modern motorcycles and paying twice as much a a model T for this Indian was absurd.

Very beautiful motorcycle indeed. The inline four, without making a big fuss about it, like with the CB750 from Honda. America was once truly great.

Jay watch it, pretty soon a liberal will say that motorcycle is racist, name should be Native American. Indian is derogatory.

I think Polaris is great, in both the Victory and Indian guise. They make engines, too. Yes, it's not the real deal like the Indians and Henderson made in U.S.A. but hey, we had collapsed so much as a country, that it's a miracle that Polaris every got anything out at all. Keep that in mind.

It's incredible that they used the correct high gearing in 1933, but can't figure it out on most bikes in 2019. The Triump Rocket III in 2019 is almost identical to the 1933 Indian, but it has worse gear ratios, despite having 8 times more power. The Triump is an inline 3 cylinder 2.3L engine that has 135 foot pounds of torque, but it is turning 2500 rpms at 60 mph, when it really should be turning 1500 rpms. The old bikes were actually designed more correctly with their taller gear ratios.

The damping on the front fork was leather disks :) It was eventually sold to a collector.
