Hello from Michigan Randy my name is Jeremy and I wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to start working on cars and document my journeys on YouTube. I have been working on vehicles now for the last five years my father in-law is a mechanic and has taught me a lot and has had be do full rebuilds. I enjoy it very much. There are a few cop art companies in Michigan one being 10 minutes from my house here in Davison mi. I have been watching your channel for the last year and love what you do, your copart walk around are amazing to watch as you do show something to look for when bidding on an auction car. So my question to you is when going to copart will the company actually let you walk out on the grounds and look at the vehicle you are interested in or no? I know you have said to try and steer away from sight unseen bids so I was not sure! Being that I am just starting out I have been watching hail damaged vehicle along with flooded vehicle along with light body damage or undercarriage as well. Please give any insight that can help a newbie out. And as always keep up the great work.

      Jeremy from Michigan

Love how you took a car that had a lot of life left and gave it a second chance.

I admit I'm disappointed that you didnt hold on to the Caprice. It sounded like you thought it had potential. It is a classic in the truest sense of the word. I know that the theme of the show is to buy cheap and try to flip for a profit. I only the new owners appreciate your efforts, or you may end up finding back on the Copart lot some day!!

Curious, who sets the price, Randy or weird beard?

I think asking $3,500 then taking $3,000 is the way to go.

Asking $3,000, I predict you'll get stuck for $2,500 or less.

In Texas, any good reliable car is certainly worth $3,000.

You did good with it Randy,

I'm wondering if that $500 Maaco paint job would raise that value any or just be a waste? Looks good for a daily driver.

                                                Let's get to 200k!

@Auto Auction Rebuilds yeah thats chump change. But why invest money on something that is not worth it? Why dont you buy and invest on a little better cars. All the time and effort you put on those cars could be invested on cars that are worth repairing. I guess my point was, that car is not worth repairing. The question wasn't whether you can afford it or not. 90% of the population can afford to fix that caprice. The point is: NOT WORTH FIXING.

They may not be as fast or smooth (in some cases) but reliability is what matters at the end of the day.
