Ruiz much bigger boned than joshua. joshua without the creatine is a skinny 175 pounder. take a look at ruiz is body in the weigh ins-he is covered in muscle. his natural body is muscular it is a swimmer body his can't even fill in his jeans. his hands are incredible fast. its as though he is hybrid of heavy weight size and power and light weight hand speed. when you have the light weight hand speed coming at you with heavy weight power if you don't keep him at a jab you are going to get knocked out.

Next time Mr Ruiz don't hit him on the top of his head because he goes all fuzzy....listen I saw Ruiz kick the shit out of this big Drago type Russian the fight previous and then done the same to Joshua...Joshua is going to fight better in the rematch but so is Ruiz...for Ruiz it'll be a fight to the death....and that's why I see Ruiz winning again although it'll be tougher this time round

Plain and simple: Joshua is a great fighter, but he overestimated his own ability and underestimated his opponent's ability.

Parker barely outpointed Ruiz - with many, even in New Zealand, uncomfortable wih the decision.

Honestly I was real impressed w how aj handled himself in almost every way out of the ring, do I think he is pushing his team to make the wilder fight as canelo did the lara fight, no I dont, but in all other ways I like him , but this interview is almost making him sound horrible, I don't care what anyone says, the second the fight started he looked just like ggg vs canelo 1, he was affected by nerves , was gight mentally and his speed was there but not his quickness, he looked like a tight fighter trying to force a relaxed approach, thAt combined w some pre fight issues we have all heard makes sense, I don't know but id say he was dehyrated and came in low weight for him

is it me or does Anthony Joshua come across as a bit passive aggressive in this. There's a glint in his eye when the interviewer credits ruiz.

It's called 'victory disease'. AJ expected to win, because his mindset before fighting Ruiz was beyond that specific fight, in AJ's mind he'd already beaten Ruiz, he says this in interview. So he wasn't PRESENT on fight day and he lost.

The gum-shield . Unfortunately AJ spat it out. Conscious or not, he was trying to gain himself time. It’s an old trick. He was taking big shots by that time. He had to deal with adversity and unfortunately he wasn’t fired up enough when it came. He didn’t have that mentality built up for Ruiz. The ref was probably justified stopping it. Do I think he can do it in the rematch? Yes! But so can Ruiz. A very durable boxing man with tons of experience and great combinations and hand speed. AJ has to fight his fight, not get drawn in close.
He has to grow as a fighter and very ruthlessly execute a game plan. I’m hopeful it can happen.🇬🇧

He is intelligent and likeable but even if he wins the rematch it will not remove doubts if he does not tear into Ruiz and batter him down. Stop the pitta patta of the jab and only use it when you intend to hurt your opponent. Boxing comes from the feet.. always the feet. Leverage comes from the feet. A tall guy has no leverage hitting downwards at a short guy. AJ must be told to crouch and uppercut or smash hooks as he forces up from his feet.

                                                                                  • byron elenica

Its simple... a TALL boxer must punch downwards at a shorter boxer... punching down is weak and has no leverage. Ruiz only has to step inside Joshuas long reach and hook his chin which he sticks out a mile. Klitchko was the same, wild punches and a chin sticking out. Basic boxing will win against Ruiz. Short jabs always straight and NEVER weak. You never poke out a jab just for the sake of it. If you throw a jab it must always be with 100% force. Joshua should crouch down like Tyson did and spring up with force from his feet while throwing a hook. Ruiz can not get inside this.

                                                                                    • byron elenica

This is EGO - EGO no humility. ALL great boxers have humility. when you do you properly criticise yourself then deal with the flaws. He is thinking Ruiz will let him win just because his ego says so. A bit like the England world cup squad 1966, ever since England felt the had the right to win thereafter, no respect for smaller countries having great soccer teams. Joshua is doing this. If I was his trainer I would concentrate on his psychology and thrash his ego. Hence he keeps repeating "I am capable I should have won" NO NO NO you have no RIGHT to win. You must respect your opponent has the ability and up your own game. I knew from the start h would lose against Ruiz. It is no good talking about "Jab upstairs and downstairs" This is not about punches thrown this is about brains controlling strategy. This guy saying the most dramatic round in the history of boxing???!!! so this props up Joshuas ego and does nothing for his ability. He is still speaking of Ruiz as a nothing fighter as if he had the right NOT to be beaten. The fact is ruiz has a brilliant history of powerful fights, KOing good fighters. Joshua saw a guy with a belly and his ego, his loving at looking at himself in a mirror, took over. The fact is Ruiz is very good and Joshua is not good enough.

Will not surprise me if he calls it a day before too long .However he's a world champ when it comes to excuses ! Looks like a lost soul to me .

But i know skinny dudes thats not in shape. Ruiz speed was faster and punches were harder then Joshua. He need to accept the truth!!!!
